Book Review: The Panther Tales
How powerful is your imagination? Inspired by the desert surrounding Coachella, Daniella Rushton brings us to a world where people who truly believe can bring their imagination to life in The Panther Tales, the first book in The Watchers and the Gifted Ones series. I found this indie author on Instagram where she sometimes reads parts of her work aloud. Her passion convinced me to give her book a try, and I was not disappointed!
About the Book
‘It was to be a battle of belief,’ she said.
A teenage girl, Hannah, befriends a panther whilst discovering she possesses an extraordinary imaginative gift. Dark forces are waiting and watching to destroy Hannah’s happiness.
All she needs to do is to believe in herself and a panther called Parky.
What a creative world Daniella spun for us! The Panther Tales inspires a joy for imagination. Told through the eyes of a narrator, we follow Hannah as she discovers her imagination has true power, and she will need to use it to save her friends and build a brighter world. Her great-aunt and new friend teach her people are redeemable and forgiveness brings her the greatest gift.
I was going to pass it to my children, though after finishing it, I may make it a read-aloud for the whole family. We're going to be on our own adventure, soon, that means hours in the car. We'll happen to drive along scenes very similar to the story, and I'm excited to turn the drive into a true exercise of imagination!
About the Author
In 2017, Daniella was challenged by her son Bertie, to write a book.
A creative talent, she studied ath the London College of Fashion in the early 1990's and later took up acting, leading to supporting television roles as well as stage and voiceover work.
It was her sheer determination and 'Panther Passion' in meeting the challenge set that began a journey in understanding the power of believing in oneself.
Living in 'Adorable Ashby' as she famously calls her hometown in the UK, the author is married to Nicholas and the family split their time between the US and the UK. She busies herself not only with the ongoing series of The Panther Tales, among other literary and audible adventures, but also her dog Walter, family and friends.
