My writing story started in second grade when I wrote a story about a dog named Popcorn, illustrated and embellished with glued popcorn. I think my mom still has it, actually ...
I started writing poetry in elementary, then moved on to novel writing in middle school. It wasn't until High School I started to master the short story. As with most writer's stories, I allowed 'real life' goals to take over the dream goal, though I never stopped dabbling.
In late 2019, I decided it was time. I was done practicing for the sake of practice and work toward self publishing. I buckled down, kicked my kids out of my room, and finally finished a complete draft in Spring 2020. Trimarked, the first book in my dystopian fantasy series, is currently in the production stages!
And on goes the journey!
